America surprised me again.
When I was growing up I learned about American life and culture from the songs, books and movies that were popular in the 1960s. But when I moved there in 1982 to continue my education, everyone was only into their careers.
And now that I’m back, everyone I meet seems to be talking about change.
I believe, however, that the way we handle change is also going to change. Now we are patiently sorting our garbage, selling our second car, and looking up to politicians to negotiate those CO2 quotas. I believe that soon we will be looking into changing our advertising and our informing, our corporation and our education, our science and our religion – all those large societal structures that got us into status quo.
The experience will be awesome!
